I‘m in love with these lively 70’s style flip dolls from designers Amy Prior and Carly Schwerdt, the talented duo behind Australian textile house Umbrella Prints.
Their delightful dolls have several details that set them apart, such as the vividly animate textiles they’re made from; original designs of Umbrella Prints that have been screen printed by hand.
A visual pudding, these delicious designs demand a fabric as gorgeous as the intense, lucious inks they’re printed with. Appropriately, Umbrella Prints have used a beautiful, long lasting cloth of 100% organic hemp/cotton, making flip doll an eco savvy stunner.
But your little girl may not be interested in the design elements so much, as the doll herself. This fabulously fun doll’s special talent is flipping to reveal three different moods and dresses - she’s three dolls in one!
For parent’s who’d like to try their hand at toy making, there’s also an excellent kit that includes everything you need to make two funky flip dolls.
Available at their Etsy shop, the dolls ship from Australia, but prices quoted are in US dollars.
